Horning Middle School is dedicated to providing an individualized educational plan which includes a full continuum of services for our students identified with special education needs. Strong partnerships amongst parents, the community, and our school are the foundation of our success. Our belief is that all children are entitled to a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. We believe in equality for all students, we strive to achieve equality through: co-teaching, targeted instruction, and functional skill development. Both general and special education teachers at the middle level are committed to educating ALL learners in a general education environment which personalizes learning for all ability levels. Modifications, accommodations, differentiation, and flexible groupings are all part of this co-planning/co-teaching process.
